Breaking Barriers Workshops

IMPACT performers are supported to develop and run performance workshops on a variety of issues affecting people with learning disabilities. These include Bullying & Hate Crime, Funky Food (Healthy Eating), Health and fitness, Access, Independence and Achievement. Workshops can be tailor made to suit the needs of the workshop participants.

Young and Creative

On this project adults with learning disabilities work with and support children and young people with a learning disability to take part in performing is Creative Arts. These activities take place during school holidays, weekends and after school depending on the preference of the group or individual. The activities take place in a safe and supportive environment, facilitated by a committed and experienced staff team. We are delighted that Young and Creative 4 will be running this Summer as we have been successful in obtaining funding from Children in Need for the next 3 years. If you are aged between 5 and 18 and would like to find out more about the project, contact Fiona on 020 8 997 8979.

Mature and Creative

This is a new project which we are proposing to run for older people in the local area. Our performers will create an interactive environment where our participants can socialise, enjoy refreshments and take part in activities such as singalong, arts and crafts, IT and gentle exercise and dance. The sessions will be run by adults with learning disabilities facilitated by a committed staff team. We hope that this inclusive and interactive experience will help to change attitudes and encourage the sharing of life experiences. We have funding from Mrs Smith and Mount Trust to run our first pilot project which will run in the Spring. If you are interested in coming along either as an individual or group please contact Peter on 020 8997 8979.

Healthy Mind and Body

We will be offering 1-1 Massage and Reflexology sessions with qualified staff in our new Music, Mind and Body Studio. These sessions are aimed particularly at people with learning disabilities and carers. However others in the local area are welcome to contact us to book a session. If you are interested or would like to bring someone along, please contact Marie on 020 8997 8979.
